Who are we judging? Or, are we being judged?

How do you measure youthfulness in a person?

It is purely physical, or is it beyond it? I will paint you two different observations.

Libby (not real name), in her early 30s, full of energy and courage. Still not quite knowing what she wants at this junction in life - would give anything a go for once, until she makes up her mind (or, until she receives good offers and gets bored with them). The world is her playing field. She has the most delicious wardrobe, always with something outstanding to wear on any event. Libby has a strong attachment to accesorries too - a wide selection of cosmetics, shoes, bags, electronic gadgets and, toy boys. While plotting along with life, Libby has not made substantial finance arrangements (no house, no car, no savings), she is blessed with the monthly incomings and feels more blessed having to spend them.

Jessie (not real name), also in ther 30s, approaches life with cautious and is conservative in her decision making. She has experiences behind her which forces her to mature early, and taking up responsibilities beyond the expected for the age. Young at heart still, many things gives her the tickle and she has the appetite to laugh. Jessie uses minimal cosmetics, dressed smartly and do not fuss with the fancy fashion which changes with the seasons. She has radiant skin and wears a calming, beautiful smile. Financially, Jessie has a sustainable plan which offers her a comfortable life and a secure future. She has worked hard for the money, knowing that she has enough but never lets her guards down.

I have two factors to share before giving my perspectives in approaching to this question.

1. TIME - how much time is invested before making this judgement on these two individuals?

In within a few minutes of contact, Libby comes as the winner to this question. Looking flashy, speaking modern words and terms, and with a carefree attitude. Her youth is INNOCENCE. Her innocence is precious, as it is not lost.

In more depth, Jessie has a overall grasp of life for her age. Taking the good and bad in her journey. She has contingency plans and options which SHE selects. Her youth is her OUTLOOK. Her outlook is precious, it is in her soul.

2. PERSONAL APPEAL- what appeals to you? Are you more physical/visual? Or, spiritual?

Both women are youthful in their own terms. Libby is nice to look at, and Jessie has a young soul.

In these two context, the answers to this question can be rather subjective. Sometime it can be difficult to label the wrongs and rights. Personal values sways us more to either the right or left.

Is there a wrong at the end of the day?

So, which of these two women are more youthful? You are you own JUDGE. And you set your own PATH.

Blessings, Eunice

Photography has given me a different eye to look out for the beauties in the surroundings.

Here are some of the 'treasures' I found on my lunchtime walk in West Perth (blocks away from my office).

After having days of hail and storm, it has been a beautiful sunny winter day.

Ian and I took the opportunity of this fine weather to take a stroll down to Kings Park during our lunch break.
